Fall Academic All-Ivy Announced

10 Bulldogs Honored

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for 2017-18 Academic All-Ivy honors in its fall sports today, and 10 Bulldogs were honored. The five men and five women were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages.

Yale's 2017 Fall Academic All-Ivy selections:

Jon Bezney, Sr., Football, Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (Cincinnati)
First team All-Ivy Offensive Linemen; helped the Bulldogs lead the League in rushing offense; CoSIDA Academic All-District selection.
 
Hannah Coy, Sr., Women's Soccer, Psychology (Delray Beach, Fla.)
Started all 15 games; logged 983 minutes, seventh-most on the team; posted two points on two assists.
 
Carlin Hudson, Sr., Women's Soccer, Applied Math (Berkeley, Calif.)
First-team All-Ivy; selected to NEWISA Senior Bowl; three-time All-Ivy selection in her career; played all but six minutes on defense in Ivy games.
 
Kyle Kenagy, Jr., Men's Soccer, Mechanical Engineering (Orland Park, Ill.)
Second-team All-Ivy selection; started all seven Ivy games; tied for team lead in assists and points; scored two goals.
 
Archie Kinnane, Sr., Men's Soccer, Astrophysics (Atlanta)
Honorable mention All-Ivy selection; team captain; Played more than 1,000 minutes in the midfield.
 
Andrea Masterson, Jr., Women's Cross Country, Architecture (Seattle)
Qualified for the NCAA Championship; the individual runner up at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championship; first-team All-Ivy; earned All-Region honors by placing 10th at Northeast Regionals.
 
Trevor Reinhart, Jr., Men's Cross Country, Political Science (Marin, Calif.)
First-team All-Ivy after finishing sixth at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championship; earned All-Region honors by finishing 25th at the Northeast Regional Championships.
 
Michael Siragusa, Sr., Football, Political Science (Cleveland)
Appeared in all 10 games; had 20 catches for 242 yards and three touchdowns.
 
Tess Thompson, Sr., Field Hockey, Political Science (Ann Arbor, Mich.)
Started every game, extending her streak of consecutive starts to 22; only senior in Yale's backfield, helped Bulldogs compile four shutouts; won three different team awards in her career.
 
Kelley Wirth, Jr., Women's Volleyball, Economics (Moraga, Calif.)
Honorable mention All-Ivy selection; has earned All-Ivy recognition in each of her three years; ranked second on team in blocks.
