Why I Would Make a Good Mascot - by Bane the Bulldog

I think that I would make an excellent mascot for Yale University! I love being the center of attention! And I love children - especially those that can rub my behind (because I can't quite reach it)! I also love squeaky toys and balls - so, getting me excited (or my attention for photo shoots) is not a problem. Among my many talents: I can speak on command, sit, lie down and retrieve my ball or my squeaky steak by name. I can also shake on command. However, I have found that if I try and shake hands without prompting I usually get a treat anyways! My mom is trying to teach me to bark when I see an "H" - but we'll see how that goes.

Enough about my intelligence - I should also point out that I am VERY beautiful! As you can tell from my photo, I have wonderful markings - very similar to Handsome Dan XV. People always tell me how soft my fur is. I guess that's because my mom and dad take such good care of me and let me get lots of beauty rest.
