Men’s, Women’s Track and Field Named All-Academic Track and Field Teams

Track and Field Earn 2009 USTFCCCA Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Both the men’s and women’s track and field teams were named 2009 USTFCCCA Division I All-Academic Track and Field Teams. 

With a GPA of 3.470, the Yale women’s track and field team had the fifth highest GPA of any Division I team in the nation and was one of a total of 130 Division I programs that were recognized as women’s 2009 All-Academic Teams.

The Yale men’s track and field team had the third highest GPA of any Division I team in the nation with a GPA of 3.370 and was one of a total of 67 Division I programs that were recognized as men’s 2009 All-Academic Teams. 

For men’s track and field, the Ivy League led all conferences with six teams selected as All-Academic Teams.  Brown had the highest GPA of any team in the Ivy League followed by Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth, Columbia, and Cornell. 

The Ivy League also had six teams selected as All-Academic Teams for women’s track and field with Yale leading the way with the highest GPA.
