Team Up For Haiti Begins at Yale This Weekend

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale University Athletics Department, in response to Haiti's needs following the tragic earthquake, begins a fundraising campaign called "Team Up For Haiti" this weekend to assist in the relief efforts. There will be donation collection areas at most of the winter sports venues for the rest of the season kicking off with the men's hockey games against Union and Rensselaer at Ingalls Rink and the men's basketball games with Penn and Princeton at Payne Whitney Gym. The campaign-labeled boxes with the Yale Athletics logo will also be at the women's 2 p.m. hockey contest against Brown.

Yale University established a website (http://opa.yale.edu/haiti/) and put in motion a plan to collect for Haiti just days after the disaster. That plan includes Yale funneling contributions through one of the following organizations: Doctors Without Borders, American Red Cross, Partners in Health and UNICEF.

Anyone interested in sending money or delivering a check should make them out to Yale University with "Haiti Relief" in the memo line.

Come cheer for the Bulldogs while also supporting Yale's Haiti relief efforts.
