10 Bulldogs Earn Winter Academic All-Ivy Recognition

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Ivy League has released its list of student-athletes selected for 2012-13 Academic All-Ivy honors in its winter sports. The 10 Bulldogs chosen were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages.

The Yale selections:

Kenneth Chan, Sr., Men's Squash, Economics (Singapore)
First-team All-Ivy at the No. 1 position.

Tara Feld, Sr., Women's Gymnastics, Biomedical Engineering (Buffalo Grove, Ill.)
Qualifier in the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals; won the floor exercise individual title at the Ivy Classic.

Katie Harrison, Sr., Women's Squash, Political Science (Greenwich, Conn.)
Helped the team to the consolation final in the Howe Cup and a fifth-place finish nationally.

Antoine Laganiere, Sr., Men's Ice Hockey, Economics (Ile Cadieux, Quebec, Canada)
Second-team All-Ivy as a forward; sits third on the team with 14 goals.

Sam Martin, Sr., Men's Basketball, Political Science (West Warwick, R.I.)
Totalled a career-high 34 three-pointers; finished second in the Ivy League in three-point field goal percentage (.459).

Paige Meneses, Sr., Women's Swimming & Diving, Political Science (St. Louis)
Place second in 3m diving at the Ivy League Championships; earned the Ron Keenhold Career High Point Diver Award.

Madeline Oliver, Sr., Women's Fencing, History of Art (Bethesda, Md.)
Finished 10th in saber at the NCAA Championship.

Aaron Seriff-Cullick, Sr., Swimming & Diving, Art (Austin, Texas)
Finished 21st in 3m diving at the Ivy League Championships.

William Zhao, Sr., Men's Fencing, Classics, Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry (New York)
Qualifier in saber at the NCAA Regionals.

Alyssa Zupon, Sr., Women's Ice Hockey, Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology (Basking Ridge, N.J.)
Won the ECAC Hockey Mandi Schwartz Award; finalist for the BNY Mellon Wealth Management Hockey Humanitarian Award.
