YALE BASEBALL ASSOCIATION
Mission The purpose of the Baseball Association is to provide alumni and friends of Yale baseball updated information about the current program as well as creating a support network for current athletes. In addition to the offering of career networking and job placement, the association plans and hosts special events throughout the year including receptions, alumni games, golf outings, and the raising of money to support Yale baseball. Yale Baseball Association enhances the experience of current Yale baseball players while establishing a strong connection with the alumni community. Association Benefits All association members receive a team newsletter and updates on the baseball team throughout the year. In addition, members receive invitations to special events, receptions, golf outings and more. All Baseball Association contributions go to the enhancement of the student-athlete experience at Yale and are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Membership The association has a President and Board who, along with the Yale athletic development staff, direct all the Association's activities. Any inquiries regarding membership or any other aspects of the association should be directed to Baseball Association president, Adam Doherty `96. Any other questions concerning the Yale alumni sport associations can be directed to head coach, John Stuper. How to make a contribution Alumni, parents and friends can make gifts to Yale with many kinds of assets and in a variety of forms. Options include cash, checks, credit cards payments, gifts of marketable securities and other assets. Please feel free to write or call for advice or details at (203) 432-1419. Checks should be made payable to Yale University and should include the sport association you wish to have your contribution directed towards. Box 1844 New Haven, CT 06508-1844 Impact of Giving Yale Athletic Associations supplement the Department budget and help cover the cost of expenses in the areas of recruiting, out-of-region travel, prospect visits, equipment, communications, and other annual team expenses. These contributions provide our coaches with the resources necessary to attract the best and brightest to come to Yale. All Association contributions are considered gifts to Yale. All expenditures of Associations are governed by departmental policy for compliance with Yale, Ivy League, and NCAA requirements. Ways To Give Yale is supported by alumni, parents, and friends in many ways - through unrestricted annual giving; capital gifts in support of priorities such as student aid, faculty research, and facilities; special reunion contributions; planned gifts; and grants and awards from corporations and foundations.
