HARTFORD, Conn. – The Yale softball team took down Hartford, 11-1, in five innings on the road. The Bulldogs improved to 15-15 overall, while the Hawks fell to 11-13.
How It Happened
- B1 | Hartford grabbed the first run of the game off a solo home run to left field.
- T4 | Yale did not respond until the fourth inning. Libby Peoples hit a triple in the lead-off spot to get the Bulldogs started. Lauren Perren and Carmen Muscolina had back-to-back hits to put Yale in the lead by one. SJ Mull's single gave the squad a two-run lead before Sam Goodcase rocked a two-out shot off the scoreboard for the two RBI home run.
- T5 | The Bulldogs kept it rolling in the following inning. Willa Ferrer, Lauren Perren and Riley Shubb picked up RBIs in three-straight at bats. Mull and Grayson Vives then had back-to-back hits with two outs to give Yale a commanding 10-run lead.

- Riley Shubb recorded her first collegiate hit with a fifth inning double.
- Emma Taylor picked up her sixth win with five strikeouts in the circle.
- Both Lauren Perren and SJ Mull went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
