Bulldogs Maintain No. 1 Rankings
The No. 1 Yale coed sailing team remains on top of the Sail1Design Team Race Rankings for another consecutive week as the Bulldogs enter competition this weekend. They will be competing in the Friis Trophy at Roger Williams and Southern Series #1.

Extreme Conditions Limit Racing
The No. 1 Yale coed sailing team finished its spring break competing in the Southern New England Team Race, and placing fifth at the Vietor Trophy.

No. 1 Bulldogs Return to the North
The No. 1 Yale coed sailing team will return to Connecticut after a week of training and competition in Maryland. Part of the team will remain at Yale and continue practicing with a group of alumni, while two other squads will travel to the Thames River and compete in the Southern New England Team Race hosted by Connecticut College, and the Vietor Trophy hosted by Coach Guard.

Belling Elected Captain for 2015
On Thursday morning at the Ray Tompkins House, junior Charlotte Belling was elected captain of the No. 1 Yale coed sailing team for the 2015 season.

Freshman Malcolm Lamphere placed fourth at the ICSA Men’s Singlehanded National Championship this weekend hosted by Western Washington. His teammate, sophomore Mitchell Kiss, also competed in the event, finishing seventh.

No. 1 Bulldogs Place Second at New England Championship
The No. 1 Yale coed sailing team placed second at the Erwin Schell Trophy this weekend in Vermont. The freshmen also placed sixth at the Nickerson Trophy at Tufts, the Freshman New England Championship. The Dave Perry Trophy was cancelled due to dangerous breeze conditions.

The No. 1 Yale coed sailing team will compete for the Erwin Schell Trophy this weekend at Vermont, hoping to win the title of New England Champion and qualify for the Atlantic Coast Championships in November. The Bulldogs will also compete in the Dave Perry Trophy at home, and the Freshman New England Championship at Tufts.

The No. 1 Yale coed sailing team finished its regular fall season this weekend with a fifth-place finish at the Sherman Hoyt Trophy, a fourteenth-place finish at the Oberg Trophy, and a ninth-place finish at Central Series #6.

Underclassmen Skippers Compete for the Bulldogs
After a week of training during the current Fall Break, the No. 1 Yale coed sailing team will sail in three events this weekend, with almost all underclassmen skippers competing. The Bulldogs will sail for the Sherman Hoyt Trophy at Brown, the Oberg Trophy at MIT and Central Series #6 at Boston College.

The No. 1 Yale coed sailing team won the Navy Fall Intersectional this weekend by 179 points. The Bulldogs also placed 15th at the Captain Hurst Bowl hosted by Dartmouth.

The Bulldogs also placed third at the Hoody Trophy hosted by Tufts, and fifth at the Salt Pond Invitational hosted by Rhode Island.

Bulldogs Sail New England Singlehanded Championship
Sophomore Mitchell Kiss and freshman Malcolm Lamphere will compete in the New England Men’s Singlehanded Championship this weekend at Niantic Bay Yacht Club in hopes of qualifying for the ICSA Men’s Singlehanded National Championship later in the fall. Other members of the Yale coed sailing team will stay in doublehanded boats, racing in the Hood Trophy at Tufts, and the Salt Pond Invitational at Rhode Island.

The Yale coed sailing team had a remarkable performance this weekend, winning the Hatch Brown Trophy at MIT by a 98-point margin. The Bulldogs also placed fifth at the Boston Harbor Invite at Boston College.

The Yale coed sailing team began its 2014-2015 season placing second at the Harry Anderson Trophy, hosted at the McNay Family Sailing Center. Yale also qualified for the New England Match Race Championship by placing third at the Pine Trophy, hosted by Coast Guard. The Bulldogs dropped the Mt. Hope Bay Invitational at Roger Williams.

Five Bulldogs Named to All-Academic Sailing Team
On August 5th, five members of the Yale coed sailing team – four also members of the Yale women’s sailing team – were named to the All-Academic Sailing Team by the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association.
