No. 1 Finish for No. 1 Yale at Admiral's Cup

The Yale sailing team, ranked No. 1 by Sailing World Magazine, showed why with a first place finish at the Admiral's Cup intersectional hosted by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point over the weekend.
The regatta, which was supposed to be held over two days, was limited to one day of sailing due to a lack of wind on Sunday. The Elis stood in first after the first day of action with 167 points, well under second-place Tufts' total of 179.
In the A division, skipper Stu McNay and crews Meredith Killion and Giovanni Della Porta finished second with 52 points, trailing Brown. Yale won the B division by one point, as Molly Carapiet and Jenn Hoyle edged Harvard 44-45.
In the C division, sailed in single-person Laser boats, Yale's Matt Barry finished with 71 points, good for eighth place.
