FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS: Saturday: Very unfortunate race management - three races run in 4 knots of ESE over the course of the whole day. Several more races started but abandoned when breeze went too light. At 1:45, ESE seemed to be building in pretty well across all of Boston Harbor, only to go to glass after race 3 at 2:40. At 3:00, we hit the dock, with 15 boats in tow, de-rigged, when the skies cleared and 10 knots of NW filled in - too late. Courses were windward/leeward twice around with offsets and gates, combined divisions.
Sunday: 15-20 out of the NE. Five races completed before lunch on course 5. BC's B division won the day, but their efforts were not enough for the Eagles to make up the 30+ point lead Yale built on Saturday. Racing was called at lunch because of a boat with severe damage that took an hour to be rescued.
One protest resulting in one RAF. Many thanks to Jen Doyle for judging on Sunday, and to BC undergrads and Assistant Coach Spencer Powers for RC work 'above and beyond the call of duty' on Sunday.
