Yale Loses to UConn

STORRS, Conn. - Yale lost 14-1 to the University of Connecticut Wednesday in a non-league game. David Toups had two hits for Yale, as the Bulldogs used a variety of pitchers in the mid-week contest.


Eric Hsieh, Nate O'Leary, David McCullough, Robert Baldwin, and Cale Hanson all logged innings on the mound for Yale.


Yale's run came in the seventh inning, starting with Alec Hoeschel reaching base on an error. Andrew Herrerra singled, and Nate Adams did his job with a sacrifice fielder's choice to score the run.


Green Campbell went 1 for 2, and Cale Hanson hit a double for the Elis.


Yale returns to league play on Saturday, facing Cornell, and playing Princeton on Sunday.
