Yale Falls to Sacred Heart, 9-6

WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs lost 9-6 to Sacred Heart at Yale Field on Tuesday afternoon. 

Tim DeGraw, Alex Boos and Richard Slenker each had two hits for the Bulldogs, who were playing their fifth game in three days.  Yale fell to 16-13.

Sacred Heart (8-22) scored three in the eighth to take the lead off the Yale bullpen.  Andrew Markmann earned the win with three innings of scoreless relief.  

Yale jumped out to a 6-1 lead thanks to two runs in the second, three in the third and one more in the fourth.  

Thomas Espig went the first four innings for Yale, allowed one run and struck out four.

The Bulldogs return to action with two doubleheaders at Harvard this weekend.
