2009: Made 19 appearances out of the bullpen...Went 2-3 with a 2.84 earned run average and converted all three of his save opportunities as the Bulldogs' closer...Shared the David M. Darst Hustle Cup as Yale's rookie of the year with Zach Tobolowsky...Pitched a perfect inning in his collegiate debut on March 8 at Maryland-Baltimore County...Tossed the final 2.1 innings to earn his first career save in the March 9 win over the Retrievers...Pitched the ninth to tally a save at Davidson on March 11...Made five straight appearances without allowing an earned run from March 17-25...Named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on March 23...Pitched the final inning against Penn on April 5 to earn his first career victory...Took the loss, despite allowing just one hit in two innings against Sacred Heart on April 7...Took another hard-luck loss, pitching 2.1 hitless innings at Harvard on April 14...In his longest outing of the season, pitched 4.2 hitless innings of relief in an 11-inning contest with Fairfield to earn the win.

Why Yale?: Yale offers the best education in the world. It is a great, comfortable environment with a ton of resources at your disposal. The baseball program is awesome. The coaches and players are enthusiastic about the game and want to win. It's a very enjoyable environment.
Which of your Yale teammates would make the best baseball coach and why?: Our team captain, Stephan Schropp: he's a great team leader, motivates us to do give it our all, and knows his stuff. He's a great player and could be a great coach if he wanted to be.
Which of your Yale teammates do you admire most and why?: Rob Gruber: he's hilarious and seems to have a new incredible story every day. His slider is filthy as well.
