Class of 2014 Made Big Impact On Bulldogs

Kreisberg, Pritchard, Salafia Helped Guide Bulldogs To More Than 60 Wins

NEW HAVEN, Conn - Three Yale seniors will make their final regular season appearance in the John J. Lee Amphitheater tonight when the Bulldogs host Dartmouth. Jeremiah Kreisberg, Jesse Pritchard and Isaiah Salafia have made outstanding contributions to the Yale basketball program over the last four years. Combined, they have played in nearly 250 games, scored more than 900 points and helped the Bulldogs to 63 victories. In two of their four years, Yale has entered the final weekend of the regular season still in the hunt for the Ivy League championship.

Here is a look at the three seniors

Jeremiah Kreisberg, Berekley, Calif.

Yale Notes: Played in 84 games, including starting 55... Has been unable to play due to injury this year as a senior... Started all 29 games as a sophomore and was third on team in rebounding (5.1 rpg.) and fourth in scoring (7.7 ppg.)… Recipient of the John C. Cobb Award as Yale's rookie of the year. in 2010-11.

What has the experience of playing basketball at Yale meant to you and what have you learned?

"It is definitely hard looking back at my career after missing every game this year. That being said, basketball has been one of the best parts of my Yale experience, and I feel it has taught me how to deal with people, situations and adversity in many different ways. I believe that (like many of my teammates) I was forced to mature in order to make  

What are your fondest memories of your time at Yale?

"My best memories are the wins. Beating Harvard (on senior night) and Boston College our freshman year, Penn Princeton at home sophomore year and Princeton and Penn on the road last year. Also watching the team beat Harvard this year."

What are your post graduation plans?

 "I am planning on returning from my back injury to play again. I am considering possibilities of playing my fifth year as a graduate student. Unfortunately the Ivy League does not allow graduate students to play so I am in looking into other Universities. I am also thinking about playing professionally overseas."

Jesse Pritchard, Ames, Iowa

Yale Notes: Team captain... Has appeared in 93 games in his career... Among the Ivy League's most accurate three-point shooters for much of this season...Third on the team with 21 three-pointers... Limited to 13 games because of an injury as a junior...Recipient of the Josh Hill Award, presented for hard work and dedication to the Yale Basketball program in 2011-12... Appeared in 26 games off the bench as a rookie.

What has the experience of playing basketball at Yale meant to you and what have you learned?

 "Playing basketball at Yale means the world to me because of the community that surrounds it. There is comfort in knowing I have a team of brothers for life."

What are your fondest memories of your time at Yale?

 "Beating Harvard my freshman and senior year and hotel chilling with the team in St. Louis earlier this year."

What are your post graduation plans?

 "I am either going to work in Rwanda or Hawaii."

Isaiah Salafia

Yale Notes: Has played in 67 games, including making eight starts... Scored a season-high eight points against Vermont... Returned to the team this year after taking a leave of absence in the middle of his sophomore year... Started the first game of the 2011-12 season... Appeared in 25 games off the bench in his freshman year and shot .923 (12-of-13) from the free throw line.

What has the experience of playing basketball at Yale meant to you and what have you learned?

 "It has allowed me to forge many friendships and memories that will last a lifetime with people that I may never have gotten to know had I not played. It has also helped me to mature drastically from when I first arrived here at Yale, and has truly aided in the shaping of my character in a positive manner."

What are your fondest memories of your time at Yale?

 "Beating BC and Harvard my freshman year, beating Harvard away this year and all of the hilarious locker room/traveling experiences that I have had with my teammates and coaches."

What are your post graduation plans?

"I am currently awaiting replies from several job applications and plan to enter the corporate world this fall."
