Before Yale: TAPPS (largest private school association in Texas) first team all-state selection as a senior at Nolan Catholic High School… District Offensive Player of the Year… Three-time first team all-district selection… Averaged 18.2 points, four assists, 3.5 rebounds and two steals per game as a senior… Shot 84 percent from the free throw line as a junior which led all private schools in Texas… Helped Nolan Catholic reach the championship game of the state tournament as a junior where it lost in overtime to a team led by recent NBA lottery pick Julius Randle…Played for FV 5:17 and Texas Select AAU teams…With the Select, started alongside point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, ESPN’s No. 5 ranked recruit who is heading to SMU.
