Presented To Top Mid Major Player In Nation

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Miye Oni's outstanding junior season is earning him some national attention. In the last week, he has been the subject of feature stories in Forbes and the Los Angeles Daily News. His most recent honor is being named to the Mid-Season Watch List for the Lou Henson Award, presented annually by CollegeInsider.com to the nation's top mid-major player.

Oni, who scored his 1,000th career point in Tuesday's victory, sits among the Ivy League leaders in several categories, including scoring (4th, 16.8 ppg.), rebounding (8th, 6.1 rpg.), assists (3rd, 3.8 per game), blocked shots (8th, 1.0 per game), minutes played (32.9 per game) and three-point field goals made (10th, 1.8 per game).

He has scored in double figures in all 13 games he has appeared, including tallying a career-high 29 in Yale's win vs. Miami.

Oni was a unanimous first team All-Ivy selection last year as a sophomore and earned second team recognition in 2016-17.

The Bulldogs (10-3) are off until their Ivy League opener on Jan. 19 at Brown.
