2001-02: As a sophomore Simon provided the Bulldogs with depth up front, appearing in 21 games. His top performance came against Stony Brook at the Red Auerbach Colonial Classic when he scored six points in 10 minutes.
2000-01: As a freshman his best game came against Penn State when he made 3 of 4 shots from the field, scored six points and grabbed three rebounds in just four minutes. In the summer of 2001 Simon was selected to represent the United States in the World Maccabiah Games but did not play.
At Kings Park High School: Simon averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds as a senior and led his team to a 19-4 overall record and a berth in the county championship. He was an All-Long Island, all-county, all-conference and all-league selection and was nominated for the McDonald's All-American team.
Personal: Justin was born on Nov. 17, 1981, and is the son of Richard Simon. In the summer of 2001 Justin was an intern in the Special Events Department at Madison Square Garden was backstage at the NBA draft. At Yale he is a psychology major.
