AT YALE: Williams provides the Bulldogs with valuable depth at guard. Last year he appeared in a career-high 10 games off the bench. Against RPI he played 13 minutes, made 2 of 3 field goals, scored five points and had two assists. Against Cornell he made 4 of 6 free throws late in the game to help seal a victory.
At Fordham Prep: Williams averaged 12 points and five rebounds and was first-team all-division at Fordham Prep as a senior. The team won the regular season Division II North Championship.
Personal: Basil, born August 26, 1982, is the son of Basil and Verona Williams. At Yale he a biology and psychology major. At Fordham Prep, Basil was the captain of the volleyball team as a senior.
