Morin Named Academic All-District

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Ross Morin, who leads Yale in scoring (13.1 ppg.), has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I first team. Morin, a political science major, has started all 18 games for the Bulldogs. He is eighth in the Ivy League in scoring, seventh in field goal percentage (.502) and fifth in rebounding (6.1 rpg.).

In Yale's 57-55 victory over Brown on Jan. 23, Morin scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, his third double-double of the season. He also had 20 points in games with Alabama and Sacred Heart.

Off the court, Morin is a "Big Sib" for Ezra Stiles College at Yale and has been a Yale Youth Day volunteer.

Morin is now a candidate for national Academic All-America honors, which is scheduled to be announced on Feb. 25.
