Heavyweights Take Tenth in Club Eights at Head of the Charles

Cambridge, Mass.- The Yale heavyweight rowing finished 10th in the Men's Club Eights event in a field of 47 today at the 49th Head of the Charles Regatta.  The boat, made up of four freshmen, three sophomores (including the coxswain), a junior and a senior, finished with no penalties and a time of 15:15.1.  Detailed results from the day, including times between bridges on the course, can be found here.

Tomorrow the heavyweights will row in two events, The Championship Four will race at 2:31 p.m. on Sunday and Yale's crew will start with bow number 10 in a field of twenty.  At 2:54 p.m., they will compete in the Men's Championship Eight event, where will start 17th in a field of 32.  The Championship Eight event will feature boats from universities on both coasts and different continents, as well as multiple large international clubs.
