WEST WINDSOR, N.J.- The Yale men's varsity crew has progressed through to the grand final of the IRA National Championship regatta. Both the second and third heavyweight varsities will compete in the petit final of their events in the final day of racing tomorrow.
"The conditions were challenging out there this morning, but we put together onw of our most complete races," said varsity member Simon Keenan. "We're looking forward to lining up tomorrow."
The second varsity finished last in its semi-final and will race against Boston University, Penn, Oregon State, Cornell and Wisconsin tomorrow in the petit final at 11:20 a.m.
The third varsity will also head to a petit final tomorrow, after a fifth place finish in its semi-final. The 3V will race Dartmouth, Syracuse, Navy, Cornell and Penn at 10:40 a.m.
The team has the rest of the day to prepare for its finals tomorrow. After that, the squad's last races of the season will be The Race against Harvard on June 6 and 7.
