Andrew is honored to be selected captain of the 2008-2009 Yale Heavyweight Crew, and is excited to lead the team through a successful year.
Andrew rowed in the varsity eight is junior and sophomore years. In the 2006-2007 season the varsity won a silver medal at the Eastern Sprints, a bronze medal at the Head of the Charles and defeated Harvard at the 142nd Yale-Harvard regatta. During his freshman season at Yale, Andrew rowed seven seat in the freshman eight that finished sixth at the Eastern Sprints and defeated Harvard at the 141st Yale-Harvard regatta.
Andrew attended the US National U23-Team selection camp in 2008 and 2007. In 2006 he rowed for the Vesper Boat Club winning gold at the US National Championships, and Canadian Henley.
At Phillips Exeter Academy, Andrew lettered in crew for three years, and was the team captain his senior year. He was also awarded the prize of top oarsman in the school.
His team competed at the Henley Royal Regatta.
Andrew is a senior in Morse College majoring in molecular biology.
