At St. John's, William was a member of the crew and indoor track teams. He rowed in his school's second boat in 2004 and 2005, both years winning at NEIRA Championship Regatta. In 2006 he rowed on the varsity boat. He was also an AP Scholar with distinction. At Yale, William is a junior in Morse College. He intends to be an Economics major.
