Princeton and Cornell Top Yale

Princeton, NJ - The men's heavyweight team was unable to top Cornell and Princeton today on Lake Carnegie. Cornell won the regatta by capturing second place in the varsity and third varsity races and by winning the second varsity competition.
Yale was third in the varsity competition with a time of 5:46.0 seconds and took second in the second varsity, clocking in at 5:50.9 seconds.
The third varsity crushed the competition with a time of 5:49.2 seconds, which bested Cornell's second place time by over eight seconds and Princeton's third place finish by over 17 seconds.
The freshman eight took second to Princeton, while the second freshman four captured first over Cornell with a time of 6:59.4 seconds.
The Elis return to Lake Carnegie on Sat., Apr. 30 to compete against Georgetown for the Tory Johnson Cup.
