Oxford Brookes Tops Yale In Prince Albert Challenge Cup Final At Henley
Yale’s lightweight coxed four overcame a number of obstacles to reach the final of the Prince Albert Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta, but a bigger crew from Oxford Brookes University proved to be too much to handle. Oxford Brookes cruised to victory, finishing with a time of 7 minutes, 38 seconds, well ahead of the Bulldogs.

Lightweight Eight Takes Silver at IRA Nationals
The Yale lightweights completed a remarkable turn-around to end their season this Saturday in the grand final of the lightweight eight. The crew finished second for the silver medal in a field that had previously caused problems for this year's varsity eight. Just a few weeks ago, at Eastern Sprints, the lightweight eight finished 5th behind Princeton, Harvard, Georgetown and Navy. In Saturday's grand final, essentially a repeat of the Eastern Sprints final, the Yale lightweights jumped three spots to take second.

Lightweight 4+ Finishes 2nd in Heat, 2nd In Repechage
The varsity coxed four of Michael Buttrick, Andrew Hakanson, Colin Corcoran, Carl Nunziato and coxswain Rachel Morgan raced in Thursdays heats to finish second to Harvard's heavyweight four. The second-place finish sent them to Friday's repechage where a first-place finish was required to advance to the grand final. The Yale lightweights came just short with a second-place finish to Wisconsin's heavyweight four. The Yale four will therefore race in Saturday's petite final.

Yale Lightweights Head to IRA National Regatta
Yale's lightweight squad heads to Sacramento, Calif., this weekend for the 107th IRA Regatta. The lightweights will race in two events: the varsity lightweight eight and the heavyweight varsity four. The setup of this year's regatta may have thinned out the men's varsity lightweight eight event, as that race is now listed as a 7-boat final-only.
