Navy claimed the inaugural Johnson Cup, finishing in 5:53.3 to Yale's 5:56.9 on Mercer Lake. The cup is named after Yale's Yves Johnson '34, a naval officer during World War II.
Yale took the JV competition, 6:05.0 to 6:07.6. Navy took the first freshman race 6:05.6 to 6:14.3. The midshipmen also won the 3V (6:11.8 to 6:22.9) and 2F4 (7:13.3 to 7:16.7) races.
