NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Two Yale lightweight crew alums will be competing for their countries at the World Rowing Championships.
Andrew Liverman '02 will row for the United States and Stephen Cheng '01 will represent Canada from August 20-27 in Eton, England.
Liverman, making his third appearance with the US team, is a member of the USA LWT 4x. He last competed with the team in 2003, and helped earn a bronze medal for the USA in 2002. Liverman won two IRA national championships and three Eastern Sprints titles while at Yale.
Cheng will be the coxswain for the Canadian 4+. In 2004, Cheng paced the Canadian 4+ to the silver medal. At Yale, Cheng helped the Bulldogs win both the Sprints and IRAs.
