O’Cinneide Earns All-Ivy Honors

Standout Performance for Bulldogs

NEW HAVEN, Conn.—Overcoming strong competition at the Feb. 8-9 Ivy League Championship in Providence, R.I., junior Hugh O'Cinneide earned second team All-Ivy honors after an impressive individual performance.

O'Cinneide finished 9-6 in the two-day competition, coming in fifth place overall in saber competition. Hailing from Upper Montclair, N.J., O'Cinneide was awarded the Coach Haruntunian Award for Best Sophomore Fencer for his performance throughout last season.

He secured 11th place at the NCAA National Championship, as well as 7th place at the NCAA Northeast Regional. He has been a strong performer so far in this 2013-2014 season. He was the only fencer to earn All-Ivy honors for the Bulldogs.
