New Haven, Conn.--For the second year in a row, the Yale men's fencing team went undefeated at its sole home meet of the season. On a day when the team's four seniors were recognized for their commitment, hard work, and success throughout their collegiate careers, the Bulldogs beat Vassar and Sacred Heart.
"Everyone came together to put wins up when we needed them," said senior captain Reed Srere (Washington, D.C.).
The Elis first took on Vassar, winning 20-7 before beating Sacred Heart 16-11 in the senior's final competition on the seventh floor of Payne Whitney Gymnasium.
"The senior class felt a bit sad, but we were incredibly happy to end our careers at home with a pair of wins," said Srere.
