Bulldogs Fall to Penn, 17-10

Yale fell 17-10 to the University of Pennsylvania in the Payne Whitney Gym. The Elis fell 5-4 in the saber and dropped the epee and foil 6-3.

In epee, James Rohrbach won twice and Will Tauxe added a win for the 6-3 result.

In foil, Cory Werk swept his bouts to give Yale their only three wins of the weapon, as the other foilers were unable to pick up victories.

The Bulldogs fared better in saber although they ultimately lost the weapon 5-4. Harry Flaster won two of his three matchups, and Christopher Peterson and Matthew Chaiken each earned a win.

Yale faces off against Ivy foes Columbia and Brown next weekend.
