Six Compete at Regional Tournament

CAMBRIDGE, MA - The Yale men's fencing team had six fencers at this weekend's NCAA Regional Tournament. Of the six, two will compete at the NCAA National Tournament in less than two weeks.

Christopher Peterson and Bradley Broadhead competed in sabre. Peterson placed 27th in both the tournament and the region, and Broadhead placed 15th in both.

Cory Werk, who placed 9th in both the tournament and the region in foil, will compete at Nationals. Michael Aboodi, who also competed in foil, placed 18th in the tournament and 20th in the region.

In epee, John Beski placed 18th in the tournament and 14th in the region. Michael Pearce, who placed 11th in the tournament but 4th in the region, will compete at nationals.

Werk and Pearce will be Yale's two representatives at Nationals, starting March 16th.
