JV Team Falls to Dean, 35-0
Morris 10 catches for 124 Yards
NEW HAVEN, Conn - The Yale junior varsity football team fell to Dean 35-0 Sunday at Clint Frank Field. The Bulldogs trailed 9-0 just before halftime and had the ball on the one-yard line, but Dean broke up a pass there as time expired and then took control of the game in the second half.
Sophomore wide receiver Chris Morris had 10 catches for 124 yards to lead the Yale offense. Freshman quarterback Dez Duron threw for 181 yards, completing 17 of 28 passes. Freshman running back Taylor Stib had 67 yards on 11 carries.
Freshman linebacker Will McHale and sophomore linebacker Ben Ashcraft recovered fumbled punts. A pair of freshmen defensive linemen, Charles Holmes and Nick Daffin, had sacks.
The Yale JVs play again next Sunday, 1 p.m. vs. Navy Prep.
