Weather Report

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Saturday is Blue-White Day in Yale Bowl as the football team completes its spring practice schedule with a 2 p.m. scrimmage.

"This is the culmination of all the hard work we've done all spring," said Tom Williams, the Joel E. Smilow '54 Head Coach of Football. "It's also another day to get better."

Williams, in his third season at Yale, and his staff hope to run 50 to 60 plays during the controlled, situational scrimmage which does not have a planned ending time and could be shortened if the weather does not cooperate.

Spring practice began on April 4 and the Blue-White contest will be the 12th on-field gathering for a Bulldog team that opens the 2011 season by hosting Georgetown on Sept. 17 at noon. The game with the Hoyas is the first of five games in the Bowl, a schedule that concludes with the 128th playing of The Game on Nov. 19.
