Yale Football’s Class of 2015 Announced

31 Student-Athletes Join Talented Bulldog Squad

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thirty-one members of Yale's Class of 2015 will join the Bulldogs on the football field this summer in preparation for the 2011 season. Tom Williams, the Joel E. Smilow '54 Head Coach of Football, has recruited a diverse and talented group of student-athletes who come from 15 different states.

The newcomers include 15 defensive players, 16 on offense and a number who have played on both sides during their high school careers. The offensive linemen and defensive backs (6 each) outnumber any other position recruited in this class.

"We are excited to announce the newest class of Yale football players and anxious to get them on the field. The 31 student-athletes we've recruited will add to a talented group of returnees and make our 2011 team another Ivy title contender," said Williams.

The Class of 2015 is spread evenly across the U.S. with California (4) having the most. Connecticut has three, which does not include the Elis who attended Choate Rosemary Hall after growing up outside the Nutmeg State.
