Bulldogs on VERSUS 3 Times This Fall
Ivy League Package Announced Today
PRINCETON, N.J. – Yale football airs live on VERSUS three times this fall. The five-game 2011 Ivy League TV schedule was announced by the league office today.
The first game on VERSUS features the Bulldogs hosting Cornell in the Sept. 24 league opener for both schools. Yale travels to Franklin Field to take on defending Ivy champions Penn on Oct. 22.
Yale Bowl on Nov. 19 is the setting for the final VERSUS telecast and the 128th edition of The Game. All three contests are noon kickoffs.
This fall's Ivy slate expands to five games after three were shown on VERSUS in 2010. Five of the eight schools participate in the new package.
The five-game slate marks the fourth-consecutive year Ivy League football airs on VERSUS as the network has televised 12 Ivy matchups featuring all eight schools over the past three seasons.
"We are very appreciative of the relationship and support VERSUS has shown for the Ivy League and Ivy League football," said Ivy League Executive Director Robin Harris. "Our League and our member institutions are fortunate to have a broadcast partner in VERSUS to showcase Ivy League football nationally to our passionate alumni and fans."
