Yale Picked 5th by Ivy Media

Bowl Game Times Pushed Back

PRINCETON, NJ – The 2014 Yale Football Team is predicted to finish fifth this fall. That's what the media covering Ivy League football says.

Princeton edged Harvard for the top spot by a point and just one first-place vote. Dartmouth and Penn were also ahead of the Blue with Brown, Cornell and Columbia following.

Seventeen media participated in the process, two each covering an Ancient Eight school and one national media representative.

The Bulldogs, who were young and inexperienced, are coming off a 5-5 campaign last fall that included a fourth-place (3-4) league finish. Those youngsters got a chance to get their feet wet during a tough 2013 schedule and the Elis should benefit this fall.

Yale, which announced that all home game times would move to 1 p.m. this fall except for Penn (1:30) and Princeton (12:30), is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Bowl in 2014 with six games.

The season kicks off with Lehigh on Sept. 20, and then Army comes in the following Saturday for a re-enactment of a nationally prominent rivalry. The Blue also hosts Colgate, Penn, Dartmouth and Princeton.
