Bulldog Back Breaking Records
PRINCETON, N.J. – He ran for three touchdowns in a crucial victory over Brown last weekend. Zane Dudek, Yale's first-year running back sensation, earned his fourth Ivy League Rookie of the Week award with that performance against the Bears.
Dudek, making his first start in the backfield, averaged over a dozen yards per carry on the way to a 165-yard night. The scoring runs were from 68, 37 and seven yards out.
The 5-foot-9, 190-pound back has also run to a pair of school milestones this fall. He owns the freshman records for touchdowns (12) and rushing yards (889), while many of his stats place him among the FCS elite.
Dudek and the Bulldogs, coming off the 34-7 win, take their 7-1 record to Princeton for a 1 p.m. kick this Saturday. Eleven Sports (DirecTV 623) has live coverage with feeds to the Ivy League Network and Twitter. You can also listen to the call on WELI Radio (960 AM).
First-place Yale has two rivalry games remaining this fall, including the Nov. 18 contest with Harvard at the Bowl.
