NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Reed Klubnik had a career-best 13 catches for 124 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown pass from Kurt Rawlings, but the Yale Football Team could not hold off Dartmouth's ground game well enough in a 41-18 loss to the Big Green at Yale Bowl.
Dartmouth improved to 4-0 tonight by grinding out 347 rushing yards while jumping out to a 20-7 lead in the second quarter that became a 34-10 advantage at halftime.
Rawlings, the junior quarterback, completed 29 of 46 passes for 299 yards, but the Big Green defense registered three sacks and two interceptions. The closest the Blue got in the second half was 34-18 in the fourth quarter.
Situational QB Jared Gerbino ran for 169 yards with two scores on 20 carries to lead the Dartmouth offense.
Deonte Henson led the young Yale defense with seven solo tackles.
