The 2008 Yale Football Team will have three straight Ivy League contests broadcast live on the YES Network as part of a package called Yale on YES.

The YES games are Oct. 25 (Penn at Yale), Nov. 1 (Columbia at Yale) and Nov. 8 (Yale at Brown). All three telecasts begin at 12:30 p.m.

"An alliance with a prestigious television network like YES is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our program and student-athletes," said Tom Beckett, Yale's Director of Athletics. "We are proud to be working with YES on this college football package of games."

YES aired Bulldog road victories at Penn and Princeton last fall and had two Yale games during the 2006 Ivy League championship season.

"Yale's reputation, both on and off the field, makes it a brand that YES is proud to be associated with," said John Filippelli, president, production and programming for the YES Network.

YES broadcaster Chris Shearn will handle the play-by-play with color commentary coming from former Ivy League and National Football League lineman Ross Tucker. Dan Fleschner '01 provides insight from the sidelines on all three games.

"It's tremendous exposure for our team and the Yale program and it's great for our fans," said Jack Siedlecki, Yale's Joel E. Smilow Head Coach of Football.

The YES Network, the most-watched regional sports network in the country the past five years, features exclusive telecasts of the 26-time World Champion New York Yankees and the New Jersey Nets. The network is available in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania on cable and on the new television services provided by telephone companies, and is also available nationally on DirecTV (channel 622). In addition to the Yankees and Nets, YES televises other pro and college games, as well as Emmy Award-winning biography, interview and magazine programs. The network also presents a live daily simulcast of WFAN's Mike and the Mad Dog show. Further YES Network information can be found at yesnetwork.com.
