Winston-Salem, N.C. – The Yale men's golf team sits in third-place among the 12-team field at the Old Town Club Collegiate following rounds of 273 and 277 to finish at 10-under on the day. Host Wake Forest is in first and leads the Bulldogs by 13 shots heading into the final round of competition on Tuesday.
Senior captain James Nicholas posted the best result of any Bulldog, finishing in fourth after carding an eight-under, 132 while sophomore Teddy Zinsner is tied for sixth at five-under. Playing in overcast conditions in the mid-60s on Monday, Yale finished ahead of fourth-place North Carolina and fifth-place Notre Dame and will look to move up the leaderboard as play continues tomorrow.
