High School:
Fader attended the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md., where he
played four years of golf. He was captain of his golf team (senior
year), which made the playoffs three out of four years.
Individually, he was the team's No. 1 player all four years. He was
a three-time 1st Team All-League (MIAA). He was also the Coaches
Award winner for his team. Outside of high school, he won the 2007
Baltimore Amateur Championship. He was also a three-time qualifier
for the Maryland Amateur (2006-08) and a two-time qualifier for the
Maryland Open (2007-08). During his time at the McDonogh School, he
also played soccer. Academically, he was a member of the cum-laude
honors society and an AP scholar with distinction. Personal: Fader is a member of
Silliman College and intends to major in economics. He transferred
to Yale from Duke, after his freshman year. His father Steven
attended McDaniel College, and his mother Judi attended the
University of Maryland. He has two sisters, Dorie and Lexi. They
are both seniors, Dorie at Vanderbilt, and Lexi at McDonogh High
School.
