Bulldogs 9th After Opening Day of Yale Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bulldogs are in ninth place with a score of 311 after the first day of the Yale Spring Opener at the Yale Golf Course. Joe Hernandez, who is competing on Yale's second team, had the low score for the Bulldogs. He shot 73 and is tied for sixth. Yale's second team is in 18th place with a score of 322. Mark Matza, who is on Yale's first team, shot 76 and is tied for 22nd.

UConn is first with a score of 297, followed by Central Connecticut (303), Boston College (304), Cornell (306), Drexel (306) and Hartford (306).

Steve Gray and Rick Reissman both shot 78 for the Bulldogs and are tied for 39th. Dan Levy shot 79 and Andrew Denenberg had an 81.

The final round is slated for Sunday.
