Bulldogs Tied for Seventh After Day One of Ivy League Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -
After the first two rounds of play at the 2007 Ivy League Championships, the Yale men's golf team is currently tied for seventh place. Heading into Sunday, Columbia (598), who as a team scored 299 in both round one and two, leads. Penn (603) and Brown (609) sit in second and third place respectively.
Sophomore Taylor Hakes is currently tied for 14th on the individual leaderboard. The Coronado, Calif. native shot 76 and 77 to register a two round total of 153 strokes (+11). The Bulldogs, as a team, shot 619 on day one.
Colby Moore (T17) shot 78 and 76 in his first two rounds, while Ben Wescoe (T25) carded a 76 in round one and an 80 in round two. Mark Matza matched Wescoe's 156, with rounds of 77 and 79. Junior Andrew Denenberg (88, 83) is tied for 39th.
The tournament is being played at the Galloway National Golf Club.
