Hanover, NH - The Bulldogs jumped up one spot after the final 18 holes to finish in fourth place with a total score of 912 at the Dartmouth Invitational on Monday. Yale's Mark Matza shot a final round 73, and finished with 219, landing him in fourth place overall.
Also finishing among the top 20 was Yale's Taylor Hakes, who tied for 15th with 227.
Johnson & Wales, the 2005 NAIA national champion, led from start to finish and ended in first place with 873. A total of 12 teams competed. After the opening 36 holes on Sunday, Yale was in fifth place. The Bulldogs shot a 301 on the final day to edge out Binghamton University for the fourth place spot.
The Bulldogs return to the links on Sunday September 25 in Newport, RI., where they will compete for the Adams Cup.
