Newport, R.I. - Yale dropped two spots on Tuesday to finish in 14th place out of 16 teams at the Adams Cup of Newport Cleveland Golf Classic at Newport National Golf Club. The Bulldogs shot a 313 on the final day and had a three-round combined total of 952. Texas A&M, which led the field after 36 holes, maintained the top spot and won the tournament by five strokes over the University of North Carolina.
Junior Mark Matza led all Yale scorers with 235 and finished tied for 31st place.
Yale returns to action on October 8th when it hosts the Macdonald Cup at The Course at Yale.
