New Haven, CT - Yale dropped two spots to finish in 9th place at the Macdonald Cup on Sunday. After rain postponed the end of the first round until Sunday morning, the players completed the second round this afternoon.
The University of Pennsylvania won the tournament, shooting 580. The University of Binghamton finished in second, only one stroke behind the Quakers. The Bulldogs shot 593.
The story of the tournament was the University of Hartford's Dustin Wetherup, who shot a pair of 67s (134) to win the individual event.
Yale's Rick Reissman and Taylor Hakes both tied for 15th place, each shooting 146, and led all Bulldog scorers. After Reissman and Hakes, Joe Hernandez (150 T39), Mark Matza (151 T47), and Colby Moore (157 T80) also competed for the Elis.
The Bulldogs travel next to California to compete in The Prestige at PGA West on October 16th.
