Yale in 6th After First Round At Prestige At PGA West

La Quinta, Calif., CA - Lightning delayed the first round of play at the Prestige at PGA West on Monday, and the the second round, which had been slated for the same day, was postponed to Tuesday. Still, the Elis persisted through the unfavorable conditions and finished the day tied for 6th place with 295.

Yale's Mark Matza had a very impressive first round, shooting a 68, which led all Bulldog scorers and puts him in second place entering the second round.

UCLA currently leads the field with 280, 15 strokes ahead of Yale.

Weather permitting, both the second and third rounds will be played today and the event will conclude late in the evening.
