Bulldogs in 16th Place at The Prestige at PGA West

La Quinta, Calif. - After 36 holes, the Bulldogs sit in 16th place at The Prestige at PGA West, hosted by UC Davis. The Elis are 89-over par after shooting a two-round total of 665. The hosting Aggies lead the tournament at 33-over, 56 shots ahead of Yale. The play of the day came from senior Andrew Vitt, who aced the par-three seventh in the second round. Vitt finished the day 23-over-par, tying him for 69th, Yale's second best individual mark on Monday.

Mark Matza finished the day 12-over, with a first round that included four birdies. His two-round total ties him for 23rd. Rick Reissman, tied for 70th place at 24-over-par, rounds out Yale's top three. The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow for the tournament's final 18 holes. The par-72 Prestige at PGA West is a 7,156-yard course designed by professional golfer Greg Norman.
