The 25-team tournament includes three of Yale's Ivy League opponents: Cornell, Dartmouth and Harvard. The field is also highlighted by Binghamton, traditionally one of the New England District's strongest teams. The Bearcats have made 11 NCAA tournament appearances.
The field also includes Bryant, Canisius, Central Connecticut, Colgate, Drexel, Fordham, Hofstra, Iona, Johnson & Wales, Lafayette, La Salle, Manhattan, MIT, Providence, Rutgers, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, Skidmore, UMass Dartmouth and UMass Lowell.
