Paterson Named New England Co-Coach of the Year

Aug. 2, 2007

NEW HAVEN, Conn.--Yale men's golf coach Dave Paterson has been named the New England Region Co-Coach of the Year by Easton Golf Pride. This marks the fourth time Paterson has won region coach of the year honors. He shares this year's award with Rhode Island's Tom Drennan.

Paterson led the Bulldogs to top-four finishes in each of their last five spring tournaments, including a tie for second at the New England Championships. The Bulldogs shot a 308 on day two of the Ivy League Championships to move from seventh place to fourth.

The 2006-07 season marked the Scotland native's 32nd as Yale's head coach. He has led the Bulldogs to eight Ivy League titles, 10 NCAA championship appearances and four New England NCAA District I titles. He previously won New England Coach of the Year honors in 1990, 1991 and 1996.
